Can you run Verify on a drive that has been wiped using Purge?

Purge operations are not guaranteed to set every bit to 0 on the storage device, sometimes the end result of the Purge operation is completely random data on the storage device. This can lead to issues with after-wipe Verification. Our Verification scans the drive for repeating data patterns, and cannot be used since the data is random. There is no way to verify random data.

Third party verification attempts may flag random data as being files, because they are only looking for file headers, which are statistically guaranteed to exist over terabytes of random noise. If you try to copy that "detected file" to a machine and open it, you will be unable to, because it is not a file.
